Cleaning up an abandoned shipwreck in Baja, Mexico
Images: Nikki Brooks
On Sunday, October 15th, a group of Parley collaborators came together to intercept thousands of pounds of debris from waters off Todos Santos, Mexico. Ever since a commercial fishing vessel wrecked along the big-wave shoreline in February 2017, Vicente Yazbek has rallied for a cleanup. This week, he led the local effort along with Mara Arroyo, Manager of the Bahía de Todos Santos World Surfing Reserve, and a community of surfers and volunteers. Thank you to Save the Waves Coalition, Parley Ambassadors Greg Long and Ramon Navarro, and everyone who stepped up and jumped in to help make this happen.
In partnership with Corona, we're protecting 100 islands against plastic pollution and implementing the Parley AIR Strategy for solutions. Cleanup by cleanup, island by island.
